Ephesus lookit all the ephesians

Here is another day, its mostly Ephesus and St. John's ancient church. First is kyle in front of our fruity ship. Then St John's, its not as nice as it used to be a long time ago, his grave is under those 4 pillars in a square, theres a little plaque you can kinda see in the pic. I haven't quite figures out the formatting of this thing yet but i think you can figure out the difference between ancient Ephesus and a Turkish carpet store. They are honest in Turkey that there watches are fake, Mexicans could learn a thing or two. I guess Turkish carpets are big deal, they showed us why, something to do with double knotting it and like if it is made of silk is a big deal too. The big amphitheater is where paul spoke to the Ephesians, it seats 20,000 people. Then there is kyle pooping in one of the old toilets as a child watches on in fear. I guess the toilets would get real cold because they are marble so the slaves would sit down on them before hand to warm em up. Also the toilets were a major social place and there would be bands in the middle of the room playing music while everyone pooped and talked about politics. Some more ruins then its the Leducs and me in front of mother Mary's supposed last house. I guess a nun had a vision that it was there and so the church excavated the site and found this place. Seems a little crazy to me but whatever I'm not catholic. Also at all these touristy landmarks there are guards with mp5s or ak47s, they sure love their landmarks, they don't allow tripods either. Then more pics of Ephesus, the big building that I have a couple angles of is the Ancient Library, its famous I guess, thats the only thing I've seen from Ephesus before and its the most intact structure there even though its just the facade left and there are no books inside. Thats all for now, I know noone reads this but I will be updating the next day which is Athens pretty soon. Ephesus I am showing 33 pictures of the 267 i took that day.

Day 2 Istanbul by land

Here is a lot of pics from various places in istanbul. Starting in Top Kapi palace, or at least thats what it sounded like, which was the ottoman sultan palace. Thats where the trees are and the pic of the gold bar door supposedly houses a room with Muhammeds tooth in it. Also found out that the sultan liked to smoke pipes too, I want one like him. Then to Aya Sofia church which is huge i think its something like 180 ft tall at the middle of the dome, it was wierd too because the little chandeliers which are just about 7ft off the ground are tied to the top of the mosque so they need 180 ft of wire, musta been really picky about lighting placement. Then There is the blue mosque, its the blue one. Also the grand bazaar which is a trip, its kinda like a nice Rosarito, many many shops selling the same things and hustling you. It is massive, I would have totally got lost if it weren't for our trusty guide Mustafa. Also those big spires on the mosques are called minerets and thats where they do the call to prayer 5 times a day, its loud. There were two mosques right next to the ship and I heard the calls clearly in our cabin. Kyle had his earplugs in so he didn't hear a thing. People are supposed to wash up before going in the mosques so there is a pic of that, one guy was smoking a fat cigar while washing, so cleanly. Then hot muslim chicks oh ya. Any questions about what things are feel free to comment I'll try to reply with what they is, like anybody reads this.
